  17. SAN FRANCISCO, August 14, 1995 - Conextions, Inc., the premier
  18. provider of connectivity products and application development tools
  19. for the NEXTSTEP/OpenStep environment, is pleased to announce two
  20. new members of its executive team; Carol S. Perletz, who joins the
  21. company as director of product management and customer support, and
  22. Daniel P. Gill, who is director of advanced technology.

  25. the company's strategy to strengthen and expand on our successful
  26. team," said Edward Kodinsky, president and CEO of Conextions. "Our

  29. technology marketplace. These two hires are prime examples of the
  30. quality we have been seeking."

  32. Carol S. Perletz has more than fifteen years of software
  33. engineering experience in a variety of technical and management
  34. areas. Ms. Perletz joins Conextions from Easel Corporation, where,
  35. as director of the ESL business unit, she was responsible for
  36. strategic planning and implementation of the business plan and
  37. organizational structure for the ESL business unit. Ms. Perletz
  38. played a vital role in ESL product direction and was responsible for
  39. leading the ESL development, quality assurance, customer support
  40. and product training teams. In 1992, Easel's process and product
  41. quality increased by 80%, resulting in an invitation from IBM to
  42. demonstrate Easel's quality certification program at the IBM
  43. Development Conference. Ms. Perletz has also been heavily involved
  44. with providing critical issues solutions to customers, as well as
  45. implementing and leading a variety of technical and corporate
  46. training programs and product strategies.

  49. support role at Conextions," continued Kodinsky. "Her absolute

  58. Ms. Perletz will be leading and developing Conextions' product
  59. management process, including quality assurance, software and
  60. documentation production, and product releases. She will also
  61. oversee customer technical support and training for the company's
  62. line of NEXTSTEP/OpenStep connectivity and application development
  63. products.

  65. Daniel P. Gill has been involved with computer/software systems and
  66. object technology for over fifteen years, specializing in
  67. object-oriented analysis, design, implementation, and advanced user
  68. interface technology. Mr. Gill joins Conextions from SHL Systemhouse
  69. - Capital Markets and Trading division, where he was senior
  70. technical architect using NEXTSTEP's object-oriented technology. He
  71. previously held positions at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Exxon Research
  72. and Engineering and spent the last eight years developing real-time
  73. trading systems for major Wall Street investment banking concerns
  74. using object-oriented technology. Mr. Gill holds a B.A. in
  75. Mathematics and Computer Science from New York University's Courant
  76. Institute of Mathematics, and a M.S. in Computer Science from
  77. Polytechnic University, where he is currently a PhD. candidate in
  78. Computer Science and is also an adjunct professor of computer
  79. science, specializing in object-oriented technology.

  92. that will allow Conextions to continue to provide leading-edge
  93. products and enhanced service offerings to its existing and future
  94. customer base.
