- for the NEXTSTEP/OpenStep environment, is pleased to announce two
- new members of its executive team; Carol S. Perletz, who joins the
- company as director of product management and customer support, and
- Daniel P. Gill, who is director of advanced technology.
-
- "We are very excited by the addition of these two vital players in
- the company's strategy to strengthen and expand on our successful
- team," said Edward Kodinsky, president and CEO of Conextions. "Our
- goal has been to attract the highest caliber of professionals to
- further our ongoing commitment to excellence in the object
- technology marketplace. These two hires are prime examples of the
- quality we have been seeking."
-
- Carol S. Perletz has more than fifteen years of software
- engineering experience in a variety of technical and management
- areas. Ms. Perletz joins Conextions from Easel Corporation, where,
- as director of the ESL business unit, she was responsible for
- strategic planning and implementation of the business plan and
- organizational structure for the ESL business unit. Ms. Perletz
- played a vital role in ESL product direction and was responsible for
- leading the ESL development, quality assurance, customer support
- and product training teams. In 1992, Easel's process and product
- quality increased by 80%, resulting in an invitation from IBM to
- demonstrate Easel's quality certification program at the IBM
- Development Conference. Ms. Perletz has also been heavily involved
- with providing critical issues solutions to customers, as well as
- implementing and leading a variety of technical and corporate
- training programs and product strategies.
-
- "Carol fills an extremely vital product management and customer
- support role at Conextions," continued Kodinsky. "Her absolute
- commitment to customer service and quality assurance reflect the
- company's ongoing mission to partner with our customers to ensure
- their complete success with mission-critical reengineering projects.
- This dedication, combined with her vast and multi-faceted expertise
- with entrepreneurial, high-growth companies, makes her an
- invaluable asset to Conextions' executive team at this stage of our
- growth."
-
- Ms. Perletz will be leading and developing Conextions' product
- management process, including quality assurance, software and
- documentation production, and product releases. She will also
- oversee customer technical support and training for the company's
- line of NEXTSTEP/OpenStep connectivity and application development
- products.
-
- Daniel P. Gill has been involved with computer/software systems and
- object technology for over fifteen years, specializing in
- object-oriented analysis, design, implementation, and advanced user
- interface technology. Mr. Gill joins Conextions from SHL Systemhouse
- - Capital Markets and Trading division, where he was senior
- technical architect using NEXTSTEP's object-oriented technology. He
- previously held positions at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Exxon Research
- and Engineering and spent the last eight years developing real-time
- trading systems for major Wall Street investment banking concerns
- using object-oriented technology. Mr. Gill holds a B.A. in
- Mathematics and Computer Science from New York University's Courant
- Institute of Mathematics, and a M.S. in Computer Science from
- Polytechnic University, where he is currently a PhD. candidate in
- Computer Science and is also an adjunct professor of computer
- science, specializing in object-oriented technology.

- ensure that our products and consulting services will continue to
- lead the market and incorporate state-of-the-art design and
- implementation principles."
- Mr. Gill will be leading and developing the Advanced Engineering
- Center (AEC) at Conextions. The AEC is an object technology resource
- center engaged in a diverse set of internal and external advanced
